4. WHATSAPP AND SMS COMMUNICATIONS We use WhatsApp Business API and SMS to send transactional messages including booking confirmations, payment receipts, check-in details, and document delivery. These are utility communications only. You may opt out of WhatsApp notifications by contacting us, though this may affect your stay experience.
5. COOKIES We use cookies to maintain session state, remember preferences, and analyse usage. You can control cookie settings through your browser. Disabling cookies may limit some Platform functionality.
6. SHARING YOUR INFORMATION
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only in the following circumstances:
6.1 Between Guests and Owners: booking details necessary to complete a stay are shared between the relevant Guest and Owner.
6.2 Service providers: payment gateways, email and WhatsApp service providers, hosting and infrastructure providers, analytics tools — all bound by confidentiality obligations.
6.3 Legal requirements: where required by law, court order, or government authority in India or applicable jurisdiction.
6.4 Business transfers: in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user data may be transferred to the successor entity.
7. DATA RETENTION We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. After account deletion we may retain data for up to 3 years for legal, tax, and dispute resolution purposes. Payment records are retained as required by applicable law.
8. DATA SECURITY We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption, secure servers, and access controls. However, no system is completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

10. INTERNATIONAL USERS StayVacationRentals operates globally. If you access the Platform from outside India, your data may be transferred to and processed in India. By using the Platform you consent to this transfer.
